La Agencia Municipal del MP en Xenacoj atenderá delitos leves pero recibirá todas las denuncias.

El 9 de abril de 2021, la Fiscal General de la República y Jefe del Ministerio Público (MP), María Consuelo Porras Argueta, anunciaba la inauguración de 68 nuevas Agencias Fiscales y con ello el MP tendría una cobertura del 100 por ciento en los 340 municipios del país, hecho que calificó de histórico.

En el caso de Santo Domingo Xenacoj, departamento de Sacatepéquez, la Agencia Municipal se ubica en la 2da. Avenida 0-44 de la zona 1, donde se podrán recibir todas las denuncias. Sin embargo, según la Agente Fiscal encargada de la agencia en Xenacoj, Lidia Ravanales, su competencia será de delitos leves y los delitos graves serán trasladadas a otras agencias de mayor competencia. Los números telefónicos donde se podrán comunicar son el 5694 0005 y 4001 0789.

Esta nueva agencia municipal es un bien inmueble arrendado por el MP, correspondiente al período del 1 de abril de 2021 al 30 de septiembre de 2022, que tendrá un costo de Q121,500.00 (Q8,100 mensuales) para los 15 meses, que le fue adjudicado al sr. Alejandro Patzan Goz, según el NOG: 14431920 de Guatecompras.
